Knowledge is supposed to help us be better human beings. It is supposed to help us understand by observation and experience what direction to take to progress.
But, knowledge is only beneficial if you know what you are aiming towards. It is important to have an aim in life.
Excessive information is explosive
We receive knowledge by processing information we consume on a daily basis. Gaining knowledge is helpful up-to a point. But, the amount of information we consume in a day is overwhelming. It increases anxiety. You get overwhelmed when you are unable to process at the speed you receive them. When this happens, your brain stops taking action on everything.
To make anything of value happen for yourself, it’s important to know what is excess for you.
When information is excessive, human beings become self destructive. Everyone do not have the same capacity to grasp information. It is important to understand how much information is required for you to move in the right direction.
How do you know if I am consuming more information than necessary?
Be aware of how much information you are currently exposed to and compare it to how much action you currently take. This is a reasonable way to assess how much external information you require to achieve any specific goal.
The question to ask yourself is what skill or knowledge I require to do what I want to do. Try to access and fix your mind on learning. As soon as you think you have the minimum information to begin, you need to take action.
If you were wrong. Stop and go back to your learning process. If you were right, you are supposed to make an impact with the ability you have built now.
Further information should only be picked up out of curiosity to fill any gaps from before.
Unfocussed intake of information should only be considered as entertainment. The problem is every video and every article you come across seems to be important to you. Your mind will get scattered if you do not take steps to focus it.
Does this mean we are bound by limitation?
No. It is important to apply what you are trying to achieve against what works in the real world. One is your imagination, which is only true for you. The other is reality, which is the world we all have to play in within our limits.
Dreams can be limitless. But to make something actionable, it is important to check how to alter that dream to make it a reality in the world we all share together.
It is important to understand excess is harmful to you in this world. The physical body is only capable of focussing on one thing at a time. It is important to understand this.
One right action…
Action is what gives you results in this world. So, when in doubt, take one right action towards what or who you want to be and follow it through with one more right action. Slowly, you will see you have made progress.
When you feel overwhelmed, it is important to go back to the basics and focus on getting one right action a day. Even if everything else you do the rest of the day is completely meaningless, you will still make progress.

Information is great. But, excess information can be fatal to progress. What we can do way better than any other species is in terms of imagination and reviewing. This is basically the access to our past through our memories and looking at alternative futures using our imagination. We need to use our judgement to review our experiences and take action based on our progressive vision of the future
Whenever you feel overwhelmed or feel like you are not making enough progress, just go and take one action towards your aim in life. Consistently taking one step at a time, you will make it!
